Introduction

The
Starcom1 neck mic headset is designed for easy use, they comprise of a neck
mounted microphone that will pick up your voice through the sound vibrations
from your voice box and connected neck bones.
The headset is splashproof and can be used in damp and rainy conditions.
The Ear plugs are silicon and designed to be easy to dismantle to allow
washing in soapy water. |

Installation

Place the neck band into position |

Your voice
will be picked up on the flat surface placed against your neck.
It is very
important that the microphone makes very good contact with your skin, so
always bend the necklace to a tighter diameter approximately 6 to 8cm prior
to fitting to your neck.
For best pick-up results
place the microphone high up on your neck The microphone should be 2 to 3cm
to the side of
your throat.
Test the actual position
by having the system fully connected and talking into the mic with a friend
listening. It may take a few trials and adjustments to find the best
position to suit the individual’s neck. It the microphone is to low on the
neck the voice pick-up will be poor quality, muffled and low volume.

Ensure
the you choose the best fit earplug, three sizes are provided in the pack,
the plug should be a tight fit in your ear. It is designed to reduce the
outside noise heard to a comfortable level yet still allow some sound
through.
